Vandal Alumni Marching Band

Welcome to VAMB Homecoming 2009!

Vandal Alumni Marching Band, or VAMB, would like to invite you to return to the University of Idaho campus and participate in Homecoming 2009. All former members of the Marching Band are invited to participate—brass, percussion, woodwinds, color guard, pom-pom girls, and former directors.

This year we’ve planned a weekend of food, fun, and music! Friday afternoon, the Sound of Idaho Marching Band has invited us to watch their rehersal. In the evening, we have scheduled a rehearsal and an opportunity to meet with Lionel Hampton School of Music Faculty. The Serpentine will begin at 8:30 pm followed by a 9:00 Bonfire with fireworks! Saturday we will provide breakfast on campus, and we will participate in the parade at 10:00 am. Then we will have a rehersal in the Kibbie Dome. We will provide game tickets for all participating VAMB members.

During the weekend, we will be playing “Go Vandals!” and “Here We Have Idaho” as well as pieces you request. To download the sheet music, simply click on the link above and select it from the table on the following page. If you'd like to request a tune to play see the link in the sidebar.

Please note that the dress code for the Saturday performances is a VAMB t-shirt, which is available for $12.00. These are the same t-shirts we used the last two years; you do not need to purchase a new one. Indicate on your registration form if you need to order a t-shirt and what size you wear.
